Energy prices in Belgium rose again in February 2025 compared to January 2025. This increase is mainly due to increased grid tariffs, higher wholesale prices and increased demand for energy during the winter months.
Electricity prices:
Wallonia: In Wallonia, variable electricity prices rose by 2.87% (or €77.64 per year).
Flanders: On average, the price of the cheapest variable electricity contracts increased by 3.60% (or €79.20 per year).
Brussels: In Brussels, variable electricity prices increased by 2.77% (or €79.08 per year).
